Sub Info & Rules
Subdivision Information and Rules
Our subdivision aims to provide each homeowner with an environment they can be proud to call home. We don't have that many rules, but those we have are to ensure each property is presentable. Additionally, the Township has additional Ordinances which also apply to all homeowners. Check out the ByLaws and Ordinances section under Documents for additional information.
General Sub Information
Speed limit on all streets in the sub is 25 mph
As there are no sidewalks in the sub, please watch for people walking, biking and possibly playing in the streets, especially around corners
Garbage collection is on Tuesday, as much as it's possible, please wait until Monday to put out trash, compost and recycling containers.
The city / garbage company provides 1 large container for garbage and 1 large container for recycling. Call Clinton Township at 586-286-9300 with questions.
During the week no containers are to be placed in the front of the property, place inside garage or on the side of your house
Place containers in the street right off the the curb for the garbage trucks to be able to use their mechanical pickup arms.
During the Winter, if a snow storm happens on Monday or is coming Monday night, please wait to put your containers off the curb until the snowplow has a chance to clear the streets
Compost material (grass, leaves, small branches) must be placed in either re-usable containers or compostable paper bags - NO Plastic Bags!
After compost pickup, it is your responsibility to pickup or sweep up any debris left behind!
Large branches (6 feet or longer - up to 6 inches diameter) should be placed at edge of property by curb with 'cut end' facing the street.
Per Clinton Township: The chipper is on a continual cycle throughout the neighborhoods of Clinton Township to come by and 'chip' branches. It may take up to 6 weeks until the chipper comes by, there is no charge. You can NOT be cited for any violation due to the branches being at the curb for that length of time.
When a Holiday falls on Tuesday, the garbage pickup will be pushed to Wednesday.
Winter Information
We contract with a private company to plow the streets after 2 inches of snowfall.
Please do not park on the street during periods where snowfall is expected to be 2 inches or more so the snowplow can clear as much of the street as possible.
When shoveling / snow blowing your own driveway, do NOT shovel or blow the snow into the street!
Placement of 'snow sticks' to mark the edge of the curb are helpful to the snowplow company, especially on corners. You can purchase at home improvement stores.
If you find a homeowner / resident that is in violation of the below rules from our ByLaws you can fill out a ByLaw Violation Form which will be emailed to the President / Vice President so they can contact the homeowner. Do NOT fill out the form for Township Ordinance violations, contact the Township yourself!
